Behind the Design: The European Vaccines Hub Project Logo
The visual identity of the European Vaccines Hub (EVH) was developed to reflect the mission, values, and scientific ambition of the initiative. More than a graphic element, the EVH logo was conceived as a symbolic representation of the Hub’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and preparedness in the field of vaccines and global health.
During the design process, each component of the logo was carefully selected to convey the core principles guiding the EVH. The visual structure places human antibodies at the centre of a stylised global network, highlighting the Hub’s focus on immunological science and its role within an interconnected research and innovation landscape.
The acronym EVH is complemented by a distinctive feature: the letter “E” encircled by twelve golden stars, a clear reference to the European Union flag. This element underscores the European dimension of the initiative and its dedication to strengthening cross border cooperation in vaccine research, development, and preparedness.
The final design embodies values that are central to the EVH mission: scientific excellence, integrity, cooperation, and collective action to safeguard public health. It serves not only as a modern and recognisable identifier but also as a visual statement of purpose, representing the shared effort to build a healthier and more resilient future.
The EVH logo now stands as a symbol guiding the initiative’s work and vision as it moves forward.
