EVH Working Group 1 on Pathogen Prioritization
As part of the European Vaccines Hub’s (EVH) broader scientific activities, work is progressing within the EVH Working Group 1 on Pathogen Prioritization (WG1). This Working Group complements the efforts undertaken across the EVH four Pillars (Discovery, Preclinical Studies, Clinical Studies, Regulatory & Manufacturing) by offering a multidisciplinary space that gathers expertise in epidemiology, public health, virology, immunology, product development, clinical research, regulatory matters, and manufacturing.
WG1 contributes to the scientific advisory work of the EVH Steering Committee by providing informed analyses that support EVH’s strategic direction on pathogen prioritization during public health emergencies. The group’s inputs will be incorporated into the European Pandemic Vaccine Readiness Plan developed under EVH Work Package 17, supporting the development of an aligned and forward looking approach to emerging infectious threats.
Through the continuous efforts of WG1, EVH strengthens its role in fostering coordinated action, knowledge sharing, and innovation to enhance pandemic preparedness across Europe.
